Sounds like you were cruising, and were going to be passed. This is a good thing, means someone is driving faster than you, and can be your rabbit. Yet, she's slowly passing, and you, being impatient, don't want to slow down for a semi, for all of 3 seconds, run it up to 100, on I5, near Sac, where the CHP has been running "zero tolerance" days on I80, along with Nevada and Utah Highway Patrols. Were you then going to slow back down to slower then her pace, and let her re-pass you, or where you going to come bombing through the I5/I80 interchange at 1 double nought? What I would have done, is to either tap the clutch to turn off cruise control or backed off the go pedal for a brief moment of time, let her pass, change lanes, and follow behind her. Always safer to change lanes behind someone, then to zoom up and dive in front. Unless you're at Thunderhill, passing on the outside in a Scion Xa.
